Today was raining & overcast so we decided to do some exploring. First we went to Tavares and then Leesburg, two of the neighboring cities to Mount Dora. Visited a few thrift shops and Goodwills, nothing to write home about.
Then we turned down this road to take the back wayaround lake Apopka and came upon this bakery & bootlegging company.

We bought two almond brownies, (lower left in the picture above) and two lemon squares (top left in the photo above) and a pretzel. We got 4 pretzels for the price of 1 because they were slow that day due to the rain and needed to move the product. Great deal!
Next we stopped next store at the Yalaha Bootlegging Company. They has a guitarist playing in the rain (under a porch), and business was slow also because of the rain.

Inside the had free samples of their bootleg whiskey! We tried a few and bought the Apple Smack. They told us that if you mix it with cream soda it will taste like a Cinnabon. We did not try the clams, but Elly did buy some chutney to put on toast in the morning.

Next we headed down these rod that brought us through the horse country in the middle of nowhere and eventually landed in Winter Garden again. But that's a story for another day.
